How to Make the Paper Potato Craft

Here are the steps to make a paper vegetable potato craft:

  1. Cut out an oval shape from brown paper or cardstock. The size of the oval will depend on how big you want your potato to be.

  2. To add some texture to your potato, use scissors to make small cuts along the edges of the paper. Be careful not to cut all the way through the paper.

  3. Fold the oval in half lengthwise, and then unfold it.

  4. Fold the top and bottom edges of the oval to meet at the center crease.

  5. Fold the oval in half again, this time folding it along the center crease.

  6. Cut out small pieces of brown paper or cardstock in the shape of potato eyes. Glue or tape the eyes to the top of the potato.

  7. Finally, curl the edges of the paper outwards to give your potato a more realistic look.

And there you have it! Your very own papercraft potato. You can make as many as you want and use them as decorations for a variety of events or as part of a larger vegetable arrangement.
